About 30 minutes south from our Wilmington location via US-421 / Carolina Beach Road, crossing the Snow's Cut bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway.
Carolina Beach sits at the southern end of Pleasure Island, connected to Wilmington by US-421 and the bridge over Snow's Cut on the Intracoastal Waterway. The housing stock here runs the full range -- 1960s beach cottages, 1970s and 80s raised houses on small lots, and newer infill construction pressed up against the Atlantic. From our shop in north Wilmington it is a straight shot south on Carolina Beach Road, roughly 30 minutes. Salt air and sand hit every exterior surface harder here than they do ten miles inland, which means decks, porches, fences, and painted wood take real punishment. Homeowners who have owned here for a while know the difference between a contractor who specs materials for a coastal environment and one who does not.
