About 50 minutes north of our shop in north Wilmington -- US-17 through Hampstead and Holly Ridge, then NC-210 toward the New River and into Sneads Ferry. It extends a route our crews already run for Holly Ridge and Topsail work.
Sneads Ferry is a working waterfront town in Onslow County where the New River opens toward Stones Bay and the Intracoastal, with a shrimping fleet that still runs and a shrimp festival that has been going for more than fifty years. The bigger recent story is Camp Lejeune: the Stone Bay side of the base sits next door, and military families have filled subdivisions like Mimosa Bay, North Shore Country Club, and Chadwick Shores -- homes that change hands on PCS cycles and often double as rentals when orders come through. That mix of salt-exposed waterfront properties and newer subdivision stock keeps a steady range of work on the board.
