Coastal Concepts Construction · Serving Surf City

Window Installation & Replacement in Surf City, NC

About 45 minutes northeast of our shop on Amsterdam Way in north Wilmington -- US-17 through Ogden, Porters Neck, and Hampstead, then NC-210 east into Surf City. Add a few minutes for summer beach traffic near the bridge.

Salt haze and coastal sun work on Surf City windows from both sides -- etched glass, corroded hardware, failed seals fogging up the view you paid for. We replace individual units or full sets with coastal-rated windows, flashed properly for wind-driven rain, and we schedule island jobs around rental calendars.

If your windows fog up between the panes, rattle in a storm, or bleed cold air all winter and heat all summer, they're costing you money every month. Coastal Concepts replaces and installs windows across Wilmington and the surrounding coastal counties, from a single failed unit to a whole-house replacement.

Coastal installs have requirements that inland work doesn't. Wind-driven rain finds bad flashing fast, so we flash and seal every opening properly and repair any rot we find in the framing or casing while the wall is open. Depending on where you are in New Hanover, Pender, or Brunswick County, wind-zone code requirements and HOA rules can affect what you're allowed to install -- we sort that out in the written scope so the windows that go in are the ones your location calls for.

Every project starts with a free written estimate: we measure, check the openings, and put the full scope on paper before you commit. Call (910) 239-8500 and we'll come take a look at what you've got.

About Surf City

Surf City straddles the Intracoastal Waterway, with the original beach town on Topsail Island and most of the recent growth on the mainland side along NC-210 and NC-50. The high-rise bridge that replaced the old swing bridge in 2018 ended the era of waiting on the hour for the span to swing closed, and the mainland subdivisions have been filling in ever since. For a contractor that means two different kinds of work: salt-exposed cottages and elevated builds on the island that need coastal-spec everything, and newer mainland homes hitting the age where builder finishes need real attention.

Common questions

Do you work on both the island and mainland sides of Surf City?

Yes -- we take projects on Topsail Island and in the mainland subdivisions off NC-210 and NC-50. The material spec changes with the exposure, and we write that into the scope. Call 910-239-8500 and we will set up a site visit.

My windows fog between the panes -- can that be fixed?

For Surf City customers: fogging means the insulated glass seal has failed. On most residential windows, replacing the unit is more practical than trying to repair the seal. We'll price it out in a free written estimate.

The job was coordinated well by Brent, Office Manager. Tim, Craftsman arrived on time, discussing the project with the homeowner. He introduced Jordan, worker assisting him. Both stayed on task throughout the project. Upon completion Tim described each finished task. The work was completed as planned. The work was excellent.
